Day 9. January 12th 2011

Another fail today! A slightly frantic run to work ment no time for pictures on my way to work. But to make up for it here are some pictures from my journey home after work, which was and infinitely more interesting as I met laura at a Poet Cafe where she was giving a talk on linking art with the written word.

A tea pot held by our friend Kirsty upon a lovely leopard print coat belonging to Laura.

A black and white image of Laura's red hair adornment.

A totally random light-shade from the poet cafe.

A fancy street on the way to the bus stop.

Anyway sorry to disappoint ya'll so i'll be doing the photo walk to work on Monday. Sorry this blog is lacking a bit in written content but i've been working loads this week to keep the tax man happy. I have no idea what I'm going to photo tomorrow so i'm going to play it by ear!

  1. Not a fail at all. Really, lovely interesting set of photos. Like how you've picked up on small, slightly eccentric details. xxx

  2. I loved the street shot so much I had to save and edit it for some fun. Only some minor adjustments but thought making it look more gritty would give it that old 1940s hollywood look. Or was I miles off the mark there?

  3. Ahh, I see what you did there. I like it. I don't often play with adding grain to images, if anything I'm removing the grain/noise to make the image crisper. it's something I should play with more often like i did on yesterdsys blog.

  4. I always find that with architectual style shots it works better to up the sharpness to get more detail in the shot, same with B&W photos of anything (except close ups of people's faces or they will hate you forever!) lol
