Day 11. January 14th 2011

Today I wanted to shoot a model, literally. In our little flat in the busy hub of this country surrounded by concreet and glass, tubes and busses, council estates and office blocks, we have a little garden. To be more specific it's a faerie garden. Loving created by Laura. Sat right outside our window is a faerie watching over us.

This image was shot at night and simply lit with a very bright LED torch and I added a touch of magic to the image in the sense of adding a little difusion and mutting the colours.

Now some people think of me as a bit of a hippy. But I don't care, I have long hair and a beard, which more than qualifies me to believe in faeries, embrace mother nature, hope one day our world will be a better place and to watch Country File.

Catch you all tomorrow where the theme may very well be cleaning orientated as my mums popping down to visit on Sunday anyone wanna help out as we have a spare pair of marigolds?

Below are a few other compositions which I love too.

Did just a basic Glamour type diffusion on this one.

This one I flipped the colours around keeping the skin tones at the central point turning blues into reds and reds into blues. Plus added a vignette (a darkened border)

  3. Well that's a huge coincidence that you met him then! I'm still looking for a woman named Jannerbell with wirery wispy blonde hair, butch across the shoulders and walks and looks like a mean dwarf... not for love, but just out of curiosity!

Tomorrow then Gordon, time lapse, you with marigolds and feather duster and your mother in the back drop, hands on cheeks looking surprised at how clean it is! lol now that's a challenge!

I'll show Linz your faery pics, the top one I likes the best, low saturation and dark background make it oh so appealing!
